For this summer we have decided to keep it a little closer to home. Due various circumstances, including a very long planned trip in 2023, we could not travel long this year. Initially we were going to make a very nice tour through Italy, but this couldn't go on.
But then out of the blue we received an offer from the shipping company where we made several cruises with. Although we had made the decision not to cruise with MSC cruises anymore due to a recent experience (Cruising during Corona), we were tempted again.
We will soon leave for Italy, where we will board the MSC Belissima. This is a relatively new ship (2019) and the sister ship of the MSC Meraviglia. With her 315 meters and 18 decks she can be called a real cruise ship.
Now I hear you thinking: 'Backpacking and a cruise don't go together'. That's right! But although we like to roam the world with the backpack, we can't deny that sometimes something else is also fun! Our experience shows that you can see a cruise ship as a convenient means of transport during a trip.
We are going to take you on this journey this summer, perhaps it is also an option for you to step on such a ship!
